Creekview PH.1 Sanitary Sewer Lift Station
This 1.6 million, design-bid-build project, was completed in 2021 for the new construction of the Creekview PH.1 Sanitary Lift Station. GSE’s scope of work included open cut excavation and installation of 8-foot diameter precast concrete wet well with a depth of 32 feet, 13,500 Gal overflow basin, and valve vault. GSE self-performed all the of earthwork, underground piping, vault and wet well mechanical.Challenges during construction included encountering heavy rains during excavation that flooded the site and shutting down the project for two months. GSE had to protect the excavation slope and spoils with 6mil poly wrap, sand bags, and set sump pumps at bottom of excavation to manage water levels. Another challenge GSE faced was quality issues with the precast concrete structures not aligning and the penetrations not in the correct locations. GSE worked with the manufacturer on correcting the deficiencies in the field. In the end, GSE delivered a successful project and the client was satisfied with the end result.
